I have been building this blog for months, and I still can’t believe I’m typing this for a real blog post on a real website.

Like anything, I expect my blogging skills to improve over time. I really appreciate your patience and encouragement as I experiment and learn here, both from the success and the failures. (And we all know there’s gonna be both!)

You should know all the experts say to “niche down,” and you should also know that’s really, really hard for me. But I do know I want us to be able to have conversations here about the hard questions, and how those matter at home.

I’m witnessing an exodus of longtime churchgoers leaving the church, and I’m seeing another group attempt to start adulthood staying faithful to Christ in a culture that hates Christianity. Both groups are wrestling through ideas, challenges, and questions, while trying to create a happy home for themselves. I would love to see this blog be a place where we examine the questions we all have, and how that actually does matter when it comes to creating a home we love.

What to expect

You can expect a new blog post every Tuesday. (I’m saying it out loud so I have to stick with it! Lol) Why that day of the week? To be honest, it’s because of the song “Tuesdays” by Jake Scott. It’s one of my favorites.

Eventually, I’m going to create a newsletter, too, so keep an eye out for that.

I hang out on Instagram pretty regularly, so feel free to join me there to continue the conversations we start here.

Okay! I think that’s it for now! Click around to explore more about me and what I believe. Be sure to say hi!

I’m so, SO glad you’re here!

With grit and grace,

Whitney
